About me

My love of Art and Design started at a young age and I always knew I would be doing something creative in my line of work.

I studied Fashion Design in Bournemouth but shortly after starting my 2nd course in fashion for my  HND  I realised that the fashion industry was not for me.

I loved to sew so when I made a move to London I took the first job I could that was connected to interiors – I worked for a small company in SW London making bespoke curtains and blinds. There I learnt how to make high-end soft-furnishings. This work I now find to be invaluable experience as I have huge knowledge on how things are made and what fabrics work and don’t work for different things.

I then made the move to work for Cameron Broom in London who I stayed with for 16 years. Cameron Broom are a high-end Interior Furnishings company that are still at the top of their game. I started as their showroom assistant and soon worked my way up to their Head Residential Designer. I have been very lucky to have worked for some amazing clients and have worked on a variety of projects which have taught me a great deal on how to deal with clients, suppliers and tradesmen. This knowledge is priceless in making sure that all my clients get the best service, advice and value for money.

My move to the Cotswolds happened after my second child was born but I continued to work for CB commuting to London twice a week.  After my third child I decided to stop the London commute and finally make the big step to start up on my own. Floella was born and is named after my two daughter's Florence and Ella (unfortunately my son Henry didn’t get a mention!).

Floella interiors is now growing and explanding into other areas. We now offer interior styling as a service helping with branding shoots and visual merchandising and our  Colour confidence and mood boarding workshops are having such great feedback and are such a passion project for me and help offer tips and advise on how to decorate your home yourself.
