Floella loves

This month, we’ve worked with some great clients, sourced some beautiful pieces, and discovered some fabulous designers. As always, colour is at the forefront of everything we do at Floella, and this month is no different! Here, we’ve collated our latest interior loves which we think you’ll love too.

We came across this Cole & Son wallpaper border when mood boarding for a client, and we just knew it had to be one of our top loves this month. It is the perfect way to add colour and character to any wall in your home. The options for ways to apply a wallpaper border are endless and we think this boarder would look great framing a doorway, or along the bottom of a window sill.

We recently sourced these hand painted tiles from Fired Earth for a client’s kitchen and fell in love with them. These beautiful illustrations can be used sparingly to add just one or two hedgerow characters to an otherwise plain tiled wall, or you might prefer to fill the space with these charming creatures and really bring the space to life. We love these tiles in cosy, cottage kitchens, or the boot room covered in mud from your kids’ garden adventures. If you don’t fancy retiling, but would like to bring the outside in, use these as playful coasters on coffee tables.

3- John Lewis Anyday pedestal side table and console table

We discovered these gems, in John Lewis’s new ANYDAY brand, while mood boarding for a client’s virtual design scheme. We think this pedestal table would look amazing with a lamp, next to a cosy armchair to create a snug reading corner or, with some fun coasters (check out the fired earth tiles above) to place your mugs on. Check out our Instagram to see the final scheme incorporating the pedestal side table for inspiration! The console table could be placed in your hallway or any other narrow space to create some visual interest on any plain wall. There are countless ways to style a console table, try hanging a mirror or artwork on the wall behind and decorating with a combination of items including vases of fresh flowers, lamps, colourful candle sticks, or decorative trinket boxes.

We are big fans of British designer Imogen Heath and her incredible fabrics, so we are very excited that she has now released a selection of hand-embroidered trims. Imogen is ‘committed to celebrating pattern, colour and beautifully crafted textiles for interiors’, and these designs stay true to her mantra. Her trims are available in a variety of beautiful colours and patterns, which can be used to elevate any soft furnishing. Sustainability is also at the forefront of Imogen’s designs, all her fabrics are designed in-house and printed on natural fibres in British mills, creating minimal waste and ensuring a low carbon footprint. We share Imogen’s commitment to sustainability and love working with her environmentally conscious products.

We love working with independent companies who produce creative and meaningful designs for our interiors. modo is one such love that we discovered this month, who produce some awesome artwork from their hometown in West Yorkshire. Husband and wife team, Emma and Andrew, strive ‘to make affordable gifts that convey a thoughtful message or help people connect on an emotional level’. Their bright graphic signs and wall art can instantly add a splash of colour and character to any room. Plus, with the option to personalise the designs, your space can feel even more unique.
